Can you imagine that in the middle of autumn or winter, you take off your clothes and dive into the water without getting cold, having the most beautiful feeling instead?
This is exactly what we experienced! But also in the middle of summer, we also anjoyed the same place where we hid ourselves from the heat, cooled down, and raised our adrenaline levels.
This is “Thermal Riviera” – a tourist complex that has been welcoming guests for the sixth year, 365 days a year, from morning to midnight, near Bogatic, a town in Western Serbia.
It is located near Bogatic, and was built at one of the richest geothermal sites in Europe. It took as long as 1,700 years to reuse healing waters in the area after the Romans did it first.
Genuine comfort
It is well known known that there are thermal waters beneath the Macva plane, where Bogatic is located, but it has long been out of practice for hot water to be used for recreational and tourist purposes. This is exactly what all hedonists and tourism lovers will be most interested in! The locals have made this privilege a regular activity and regularly enjoy the comforts that hot water provides, and they know how good it is, but first time visitors from other cities and countries are always surprised by the great atmosphere here.
MEDICAL WATER
This aqua park uses high quality wells where the water temperature reaches 75 degrees Celsius and then cools off depending on the needs and the seasons. Swimming in thermal water not only offers relaxation and joy, but it also offers another benefit: the chemical composition of this water creates an extremely beneficial effect on human skin and health, so this is another reason why people want to come to Bogatic and repeat this visit regularly.
WHAT IS OFFERED HERE
It takes about an hour and 20 minutes to reach the Thermal Riviera by car, from Belgrade – it is about 100 kilometers away. The last few kilometers from the main road to the complex itself are driven on a narrow but paved road. In front of the complex there is a large parking lot where you can park your vehicle. Depending on the season, there are different offers for you here.
In the summer, an aqua park with slides and jumping grounds is opened, which is especially attractive for the children. This part is slightly separated from the main thermal pool.
During the winter, this part is not active, but there is a pool with beautiful hot water used instead. In addition, there are hot tubs, hot beds, a bar and a restaurant.
There is almost everything here, from food and drink, and what all visitors love is the working hours – it is open from morning untill midnight.
This is best for those who work up to 5 or 6 PM and think it is impossible to get anywhere after work hours. This is what Thermal Riviera is perfect for. Even the busiest can arrive here and spend a few hours in relaxation and peace until midnight.
However, those who come from a distant place, or from abroad, and do not want to return the same day, can sleep here. There is excellent accommodation at affordable prices.
